Replacement ECU has made no difference

If the vehicle is still showing the same symptoms after you’ve fitted the replacement ECU, the most common explanation is that the original fault wasn’t caused by the ECU itself. In many cases, the issue lies with a faulty wiring loom or sensor. Before anything else, it’s important to carefully inspect the ECU plug. A failing ECU can sometimes damage the plug head or wiring loom, which can lead to a poor connection with the new ECU. In more severe cases, degraded pin material left inside the loom can bend or damage the pins on the replacement unit.
